I have found that the best days to travel out on are Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. If you can fly out of San Francisco you could save some money, even LAX has some good deals and a shorter travel time period. You can find good deals out of Sacramento but it has more stops then others. Also the earlier you book the better the price on flights. FYI: it does take a day in a half to get to Scotland and there is an 8hr time difference so please plan accordingly to make the wedding events.
