We Eloped!

On July 24, Aaron proposed to Ashley over pizza and mules in St. Louis, Mo. at The Sliced Pint. We decided to start planning their announcement but the idea of eloping came to mind. With the excitement of surprise, they decided not to let their family and friends know and began making the plans. On Friday September 17, Aaron and Ashley were married at the courthouse at 1:15 p.m. surrounded by their immediate family. With a pre-planned vacation with friends 2 days after, we decided to surprise their friends in Jamaica with the elopement announcement. The resort hosted a vow renewal ceremony as an official celebration of our love outside of the courthouse. After a week long vacation, Aaron and Ashley returned home to announce Mr. & Mrs. McGlauchlen.

We met years ago as children running around at birthday parties, as our families had mutual friends. As the years went by, Aaron and Ashley worked together in high school at Schnucks and became friends. We continued to run into each other over the next 10 years at friends weddings and late nights out on the town. After a few months of concerts, truckstop chicken tendies, Northern lights happy hours and developing a strong friendship, we fell in love. Aaron and Ashley started dating on Dec. 23, 2016 and the rest was history. Every day is a new joke, a new laugh, a new memory. When we are not at home with their fur-children, we are out traveling and exploring new adventures.
