We Are Engaged!

Like many unexpected blessings, our journey began during an unusual time—the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. We met on a Christian dating app when Jose was passing through Kansas, helping a friend move to Florida. Thanks to the app’s radius settings, he matched with Ashley, who was in Nebraska. Jose made the first move—and the rest is history. Living in Colorado at the time, Jose would drive to Nebraska more than once a month to see Ashley. Just four months after they met, he made the bold decision to move to Nebraska, having fallen head over heels in love. After about a year, life led them both back to Colorado—Ashley pursued her passion for travel nursing, and they continued building their relationship together. Over the past five years, they've shared countless adventures and memories with family and each other. One of their very first travel destinations was Iceland, a trip they took with Jose’s mom. They fell in love with the breathtaking landscapes and the wonder of the "Land of Fire and Ice." And so they have decided to return to Iceland next year, God willing, to celebrate their ceremony and exchange their vows before God’s beautiful creation. This will be the beginning of the next chapter of their lives together.
