Welcome to Boise!

So, you're coming to Boise! Whether it's your first time or your 10th time, we wanted to share some of our favorite places with you while you're here. If you'd like to learn more about Boise - it has the second largest Basque population outside of Spain! Our reception will be held at the Basque center, on the Basque Block. More information about the Basque Block here: https://totallyboise.com/basqueblock

Bar Gernika

202 South Capitol Boulevard, Boise, ID 83702

It's easily in our top five places in Boise and absolutely necessary if you'd like to stick with the apparent Basque theme of our union! We suggest the spicy lamb grinder and some croquettes, or the chorizo is always delicious.

Neurolux

111 North 11th Street, Boise, ID 83702

Ashley worked here for quite some time, it's a bar/venue where you're bound to catch a good show. It's also where she used to love to go and play pool with Molly!

Bittercreek Alehouse

246 North 8th Street, Boise, ID 83702

This is a great spot downtown that allows kids - very nice patio as well. They have lunch and dinner and great people watching. This is where we once participated in the "Lager chug" that we found out later was more of a name than an actual call to challenge. We won't talk about who won.

Calle 75 Street Tacos

110 North 11th Street, Boise, ID 83702

Great spot for tacos & margaritas, they have a fantastic happy hour and the owners are lovely friends of ours. Kids allowed!

North End Pizza

1513 North 13th Street, Boise, ID 83702

This is where Ashley first asked Cliff to go watch baseball with her, and where we used to go watch the Mariner's play! Another really great spot for families, in the North End where Ashley used to live! Very cute neighborhood. They have pizza, like the name says.

Payette Brewing Company

733 South Pioneer Street, Boise, ID 83702

Really fun brewery with a big outdoor space. They often have food trucks and sometimes music, it's right by the river on the Greenbelt - A perfect spot to sit and stay cool. They have a ton of NA options - they also allow children AND dogs!

Pengilly Saloon

513 West Main Street, Boise, ID 83702

This is Ashley's favorite bar in Boise, where she worked for quite some time, and just a really neat (beautiful) spot. There's usually music, the bar is 100 years old, and oh my gosh - another pool table?! You won't find anything fancy here, but some great people watching.

Discovery Center of Idaho

131 West Myrtle Street, Boise, ID 83702

This is a really fun activity to do with kids, it's the Discovery Center! It's also fun to do as an adult, to be honest. They occasionally do adult night as well!

Rent a Bike and go for a ride!

1310 W Main St, Boise, ID 83701

Boise is a really fun place to have a bike, the Greenbelt is great, North End is fun, or if you want to get crazy there are a ton of trails behind Camel's Back Park!

TERROIR

160 North 8th Street, Boise, ID 83702

Some very good friends of ours opened up a restaurant they've been talking about since the dawn of time. It's wonderful.

The Flicks: Rick's Cafe Americain

646 West Fulton Street, Boise, ID 83702

Independent movie theater, Ashley also worked here! They have a cute little patio, you can also have a glass of beer or wine in your movie.

The Record Exchange

1105 West Idaho Street, Boise, ID 83702

Our favorite spot to look for records and gifts

Camel’s Back Park

1200 Heron Street, Boise, ID 83702

Camel's Back is great for a hike, a picnic, or to just enjoy some nice weather.

Boise Train Depot

2603 West Eastover Terrace, Boise, ID 83706

The train depot is a beautiful spot to visit and learn about the building's history, and also look and the skyline.

WinCo Foods

110 East Myrtle Street, Boise, ID 83702

This is our very favorite grocery store, we miss it so very much. We hope if you need anything, that you can find it here.
