We met long long ago at a High School dance, and were introduced by mutual friends. I was a "nerdy" Junior, and he was the "Cool Senior". After a fun and flirty night, Blake casually asked if I'd join him for dinner at In-N-Out-- wait, did he already know the key to my heart?! Of course, I said yes. Come on, burgers and fries with the coolest guy in high school? Um, yes please! We chatted at school here and there, and he even dropped me off at home a couple of times. Sorry Dad, thanks Beck! We were instantly hooked- to each other, and our conversations. We grew up together, went through difficulties together, but most of all, went through some of the happiest times together. Then, one rainy evening in Paris...
We saved and saved and finally booked an adventurous 30 day trip across Europe. We initially went for work, and ended up staying for the adventure. First stop: Paree! It was both our first times there, and we decided to celebrate my 27th birthday before leaving to Florence for work. On January 10, 2015 - Our first full day in Paris- we did what any tourist would: we walked for hours, visited museums, sipped espresso at an outdoor café, got lost, took the subway, found our way back, and bought tons of baguettes. After a lovely dinner and exhausting day in the city, we decided to head back and get some rest. On our walk back, we picked up a bottle of Rosé- to celebrate at midnight- and of course, more baguettes. We changed into our pj's and bundled up to sip our vine under the stars on our tiny but oh-so-cute Parisian balcony. The clock struck 12, we cheered to 27, and continued into our conversation. Blake crawled back inside through our little balcony window to "use the restroom" and blow the sniffles. He came out, flashed that handsome smile, bent to one knee, and asked me to be his wife. I shouted YES! under a heap of tears and happy heart. We hugged so tight, gave a million kisses, and enjoyed our Rosé on that misty night in Paris. We can't wait to celebrate with you all! See ya at Hummingbird.
