This was the most magical day! I had no idea anything was planned. I thought we were heading to LuMil Vineyard to see Christmas lights and take photos my mom had planned weeks earlier.
For about a month, I believed my family was thinking about selling our lake house. That story explained why everyone kept going back and forth to the lake and kept me from suspecting anything. It was all part of the plan.
Cory and I had talked about rings and even shopped a little, so he knew what I liked. I had no clue about the planning behind the scenes. Both of our families knew for an entire month, and no one slipped.
I was blindfolded because I was told there was a “family surprise” involving only me and Jaxson. What I didn’t know was Jaxson was never blindfolded and had been in on it the whole time.
What I thought would be a quiet moment turned into a proposal surrounded by so many people we love. The shock on my face says it all. I am so thankful for the love that surrounded us that day.
