At this time, the venue will not require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative test results... BUT... with the recent FDA full approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for COVID-19, it is very likely that private establishments begin requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result for entry. We STRONGLY encourage you to make arrangement to either a). get vaccinated at least 2 weeks prior and/or b). get tested 3 days prior to the wedding. This will ensure your entry to the venue and our reception, and more importantly contributes to the safety and well-being of our friends and family. Note: On September 13th New York City will begin requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination in order to enter restaurants, bars, and other event spaces (hotels, concerts, gyms).
The Abbey Inn is taking precautions in general guest areas. Details are available at the link below. The best precaution that we can all take is to get vaccinated! Vaccinated guests enjoy peace of mind knowing that they have an extremely high level of protection from becoming infected by COVID-19 and/or severe infection. For those that are curious, our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors (weather permitting) but our reception is in a repurposed chapel. It's a large open space with high ceilings and good ventilation. https://tinyurl.com/AbbeyHealth
Unfortunately we don't, as this is a complicated and sensitive topic. We can say with confidence "most, and maybe close to all guests". We believe that the vaccine for COVID-19 is very safe and effective at providing immunity or preventing serious infection. If anyone has any questions or concerns about their well-being as it relates to COVID-19, we encourage you to contact us to discuss.
Yes! We have guest room blocks at The Abbey Inn & Spa and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Peekskill. Please see our Travel Page for more information on hotels available, room rates, and booking details.
We are expecting around 80-90 guests.
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! Please let us know if you have a newborn or a special circumstance. We would hate for your kids to be a hurdle in you attending our wedding.
At this time, there is no shuttle to/from the wedding. However, if COVID precautions allow, there will be valet at the Abbey.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer just you.
Semi-formal or cocktail, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, choose attire that makes you feel your best!
Your presence at our wedding is present enough! We do have a registry though, if you would like to contribute. See “Registry” at the top of our site.
