Things To Do

We hope you have some time to explore the city! Richmond is so much fun, with something for everyone. Here's a few of our favorite places to eat and things to do in RVA!

ZZQ Texas Craft Barbeque

3201 West Moore Street, Richmond, VA 23230

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Richmond! We recommend getting there early (it's a favorite of pretty much everyone else in RVA too)

Hobnob

6010 Hermitage Road, Richmond, VA 23228

They have really great lunch options!

Millie's Diner

2603 East Main Street, Richmond, VA 23223

A nice brunch place! This was actually the first place we ate at in Richmond when deciding to move up here.

Liberty Public House

418a North 25th Street, Richmond, VA 23223

A great spot for burgers and drinks!

Proper Pie Co.

2505 East Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23223

This is arguably Alex's favorite place in the city. Their sweet and savory pies are AMAZING!!

Virginia Museum of Fine Arts

200 North Arthur Ashe Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23220

One of our favorite free activities in the city! There are so many different types of art, you could spend hours there and not see it all.

The Poe Museum

1914 East Main Street, Richmond, VA 23223

A must do for any literary or history fans. The museum has really cool artifacts from Poe's childhood in Richmond.

Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden

1800 Lakeside Avenue, Henrico, VA 23228

A massive garden outside of Richmond - the gardens are beautiful in the spring!

Hotel Greene

508 East Franklin Street, Richmond, VA 23219

This is a mini golf course inside an old hotel. It is so much fun and they have a brunch option on the weekends before you golf. Be sure to make reservations in advance!

Short Pump Town Center

11800 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23233

Short Pump is a little northwest of the city, but it has a really nice mall and lots of other shopping options.

Historic St. John's Church

2401 East Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23223

Visit the site of Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty or give me death" speech. You can take tours of the church and grounds, and starting Memorial Day weekend, they offer tickets for a reenactment on Sundays (Ashley would HIGHLY recommend, as her 5th grade hero was Patrick Henry himself).
