FAQs

Question

Is the venue accessible?

Answer

Olio Peabody is fully ADA accessible, with a ramp in the back, accessible bathrooms, and an elevator. Please let us know if you have specific accessibility concerns, we're happy to answer (and if we don't know, are happy to ask the venue!)

Question

Will there be a cash bar, a hosted bar or an open bar?

Answer

We are having an open bar, but we would encourage guests to please bring some cash to tip the bartenders.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The vow renewal theme is Celestial Halloween! Guests are welcome to come in costume or in formal dress, whatever is more comfortable for you! We do ask that any costumes be non-political and that no fake weapons be brought into the venue.

Question

Is smoking and/or vaping allowed at the venue?

Answer

Per Olio's website (and the town of Peabody), smoking and vaping (of any kind) is not allowed in the venue. Guests may head outside to Main Street to smoke.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Olio does not have parking at the venue, however, there are several hundred municipal spots within an easy walk of our location. The closest and largest lot is located at 86 Mill Street, Peabody, MA. It is a 2 minute walk to Olio from there. There is also metered parking all along Main Street, directly in front of Olio. In addition, there are abundant side street spots just a few steps from the building. With that being said, this event is happening ON Halloween, and Peabody is right next to Salem, which gets very busy! Please plan accordingly to account for traffic, and potentially difficulty parking.

Question

Is there public transit close to the venue?

Answer

Olio is accessible by public transit from Boston by the Newburyport/Rockport Commuter Rail, which runs from North Station (Boston) to Salem every hour, seven days a week, and takes about 30 minutes. Olio is 1.5 miles from the Salem Commuter Rail station. With that being said, this event is happening ON Halloween, and Salem gets very busy! Please plan accordingly to account for traffic, crowded trains, and more expensive lyfts/cabs/ubers.
