Question

When should I book my flight?

Answer

For the wedding on October 12th, we suggest booking your flight around three months before for favorable prices. However, booking too early might incur higher costs. Utilize the 'Hopper' app for optimal deals. Expect periodic updates from us on the lowest prices and ideal booking times.

Question

How far is Sangster airport from Negril

Answer

Sangster International Airport is approximately 50 miles from Negril. The journey typically takes around an hour and a half, depending on traffic and specific locations within Negril.

Question

Do ride-share services like Uber and Lyft operate in Jamaica?

Answer

Jamaica lacks ride-share services like Uber and Lyft. While taxis are available, we don't endorse them and recommend relying on your hotel, KK Travels, or booked excursions for safer and more reliable transportation.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

We genuinely value your prompt response. Please RSVP by the deadline of July 1st, 2024, using the RSVP feature on our wedding website. Guests not responding by this date cannot be accommodated.

Question

How can guests seek assistance or address concerns during their stay, particularly on the wedding day?

Answer

During our wedding weekend, especially on the day of the wedding, the bride and groom's primary focus is the wedding itself, and we may not be readily available. For any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact the best man, Javeen Johnson, via WhatsApp at (876) 825-6231 at any time during your stay. As a Jamaican native familiar with the island, including Negril, he'll be more than happy to assist you.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Strictly adhere to the dress code guidelines for a polished appearance. Cocktail attire is expected. Dress in all black. Men's suit or dress slacks, Dress shirt, and tie—women's midi- or knee-length dress or dressy separates. Note: Venue prohibits blue jeans or sneakers. Your attention to these details is appreciated.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, only children who are part of the wedding party will be in attendance.

Question

Are there any cultural or local customs guests should be aware of during their stay?

Answer

No specific cultural or local customs are required for our ceremony. We're blending Jamaican and American traditions for a unique and inclusive experience. Friendly reminder: Avoid using Jamaican slang or curse words while embracing the cultural mix, as they may be offensive. Feel free to ask if you have questions or need more information.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

While we haven't reserved a block of rooms, we've secured exclusive discounted rates at nearby hotels. Our top recommendation is the Samsara Cliff Hotel. For accommodation details, please check the travel section on our website.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time.

Question

How will I get to the wedding venue from my hotel.

Answer

We will seamlessly organize the pick-up and drop-off times to and from the wedding through KK Travels. Once we gather details about each guest's hotel accommodations, KK Travels will furnish specific information to each guest regarding the shuttle service for the wedding day. For additional details and instructions, please get in touch with KK Travels via WhatsApp at 8768860779.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Jamaica has a tropical climate, hot all year round, with a relatively calm season from December to March and a hot, muggy, and rainy season from late April to November.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors without any covering. The reception will be outdoors after the ceremony but with a covering. To ensure comfort during the reception, we recommend wearing flat-soled shoes or wedges to avoid sinking into the grass.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception area, where we will be serving light hors d’oeuvres accompanied by an open bar.

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The wedding venue is the same venue for the ceremony and the reception.

Question

Will dinner be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

We'll serve dinner with a delicious Jamaican flair at the reception. From savory jerk chicken to flavorful seafood dishes and vegetarian options, our menu celebrates the vibrant flavors of Jamaica. We're committed to providing you and your guests with an authentic and memorable culinary experience. Let us know if you have any dietary preferences, and we'll ensure your needs are met!

Question

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

An after-party will be held on Sunday, October 13 at Margaritaville in Montego Bay on the hip strip. All are welcome to join.

Question

Am I invited to the rehearsal dinner?

Answer

Due to the space limitations of our venue, we unfortunately have to limit the rehearsal dinner guest list to those who will be playing a role in the ceremony. We apologize in advance to those who are not included.

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Free parking is available alongside the main road outside the venue.

Question

Should I bring a gift to your destination wedding?

Answer

Your presence is the best gift, but we have a registry in the form of a honeymoon fund for those who wish to contribute.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are so thankful you will be joining us for this celebration of our love. While gifts are not expected, we have set up a honeymoon fund, which can be found on our website under 'registry."

Question

What is the photography and social media policy during the wedding events?

Answer

Please avoid taking photos during the ceremony, as a professional photographer captures those moments. Refrain from posting on social media until the bride and groom do so, ensuring a coordinated presentation of highlights. Also, please avoid going live on social media during the events. Thank you for respecting our wishes; we look forward to sharing beautiful moments.

Question

Are there any cultural or recreational events happening during their stay?

Answer

No particular cultural or recreational events are scheduled for the wedding weekend.

Question

Are there any local restaurants or cuisine recommendations in the area?

Answer

Certainly! Explore the area's delightful local restaurants and diverse cuisines, ranging from local specialties to international dishes. Visit the "Plan your trip" tab on our wedding website for detailed information and recommendations in our 'Guide to Negril'.

Question

How can guests ensure their safety during their stay in Jamaica?

Answer

As with any place you travel to, always prioritize your safety by being mindful of your surroundings, avoiding secluded areas at night, and securing your belongings. Stick to well-traveled routes and consider using reputable transportation services. Additionally, stay informed about local customs and follow any guidance provided by your accommodations. If you have specific concerns, reach out to the hotel staff or local authorities for assistance. Remember, your safety is a top priority, and taking these precautions enhances your overall experience in Jamaica.
