Growing up my mom always warned me about meeting boys at the Rockin’ R Bar as that was where my parents met over 30 years ago and danced the night away at Little Johns’s. Well, as several great love stories begin, Abel and I met one summer day at the Rockin’ R Bar. I was with a girlfriend and ran into some mutual friends of Abel and mine. Abel was talking up how he could two-step to any song and somehow we ended up two-stepping to Nelly. I won’t say it was pretty, but it was hilarious. To truly make the story full circle, we spent countless nights dancing our way through summer at Mixers (formerly Little John’s, RIP Mixers) before I headed back to Missoula for my final year of college. And yes, Abel Dallas, the man who said he’d never marry a griz, found himself a diehard griz fan. Over the last 7 years, we’ve attended every Brawl of the Wild together. We love spending time with our dog Barley, attending football games, and any evening of live music with friends. We want to thank all our friends and family for their continual support and love throughout our adventure.
