Philly is where our love story began. We met each other for the first time there and had our first date at Harp & Crown. We shared our first kiss in Philly, next to graffiti celebrating the Eagles v Patriots Superbowl win, Go Birds! And it's where we shared our first apartment. Now it is where we have bought our first home and where we plan to start our lives as a family.
COVID-19 derailed our engagement and our original wedding plans. So on an unplanned, emergency trip to Vegas, Ashlei and I decided to elope. Neither one of us is very comfortable sharing our emotions and intimate moments with others. This was a way for us to do our union in a way that spoke most to us. The universe just seemed to align and it is something we will remember always.
Even though we eloped, we still wanted to commit to each other in front of friends and family. Why Brooklyn Bowl? Throughout our relationship, a connection with our inner child has played a central role. We wanted to pay homage to that by celebrating in a nontraditional venue.
