The Cooper Wedding

Believe it or not, our first date was to Sonic. Ashlee was being sooooooo petite and proper by getting a small ice cream, but not finishing it. She'd just ask Lucas to put the leftovers in his freezer for her to get at the end of the date, right? Wrong. She planted the leftovers and "forgot" them on purpose, thus securing a second date. Much to Lucas's dismay, Ashlee asked for the leftovers about two days after our first date. He had eaten the leftovers. In a scramble, he hauled himself to Sonic once more, ordered a small Sonic blast with M&M's, but, to his horror, there weren't as many M&M's in this blast as there were in the original blast. He had to go to his local Walmart and get more mini M&M's. He recruited the help of his friend John to eat the ice cream to the precise spot on the cup that Ashlee had eaten to on their first date. Voila, problem solved. Fast-forward a year, and Lucas finally tells Ashlee about the Sonic blast debacle. In the time between their first date and his coming clean, the couple had traveled to the beach together, moved to their first apartment (a studio, btw), and adopted Fern. They had lost, laughed, and loved each other fiercely. But this moment, Lucas telling his version of the story about their first and second date, solidified in Ashlee's mind that he was "The One". Four years have flown by, with immeasurable growth seen for them both as individuals and as a couple. Ashlee and Lucas love traveling, they love their home, they love spending time with their dogs, and they love their shared friends. Most importantly, they love each other. And it all began with a stupid Sonic blast.
