How do I book a room?
Answer
There are several amazing hotels , condos, Air bnb's, VRBO's, etc. It is recommended to stay on the east shore or in the Lihue area. Po'ipu and Princeville are beautiful but they are a 45 minute drive one way to the reception site.

How long are we staying?
Answer
The wedding activities will be from 10/9/2023-10/11/2023. We would love for you to use this time as a vacation for you and your family! Our celebrations start the night of 10/9 and will finish with an excursion on 10/11. The wedding is in the afternoon on 10/10- so there will be plenty of time in the morning for a hike or snorkeling with the turtles!

Will there be a dress code?
Answer
The ceremony and reception will be Resort casual. Collared button-down shirt, sun dresses, Bermuda shorts are great options. Aloha shirts are also welcome! The ceremony is held in an outdoor garden, followed by a private indoor reception, please plan appropriate layers. The reception indoors may get warm due to the humidity during the time of year.

You can bring your family! This island has plenty of hiking, beach combing, whale watching, and more.

Who is providing travel costs?

Your flight, resort reservations, excursions, and additional fees are your own responsibility. We understand this is a big investment, and appreciate your support of our wedding!!

The rehearsal dinner and reception will have food and beverages provided.

As we love your generosity and support, your gift to us is coming to Kaua'i and celebrating our marriage! If you do have some extra support to provide, we ask that you donate to a Kaua'i local non-profit in lieu of a wedding gift. These are some organizations near and dear to our hearts. All these non-profits are local and give their resources only to locals. 1. http://www.cavereserve.org/donate.php --- this organization is spreading awareness of the massive lava tubes of Kaua'i. There is an endangered cave spider as well as several native plants that rely on the lava tube's as their home. By donating to this organization you will help preserve Kaua'i's native population of flora and fauna. 2. https://haleopio.org/donate/ ------ this organization helps build community on Kaua'i by enhancing young people's quality of life through education, prevention, court diversion, and treatment. 3. https://www.kauairefuges.org/donate-join ---- this organization strives to improve understanding, appreciation, conservation, and awareness of the native Hawai'ian ecosystems on Kaua'i. 4. https://kumuscupboard.org/donate/ --- this organization collects and buys school supplies for teachers on Kaua'i. Teachers may go to the 'store' and shop for school supplies, books, office supplies, science projects etc. Anything a teacher would typically spend THEIR OWN money on Kumu's has available for FREE. 5. https://www.growingkauaiteachers.org/ ---- this organization provides scholarship and community support for Kaua'i's aspiring student teachers to complete their education while remaining on the island of Kaua'i. The shortage of teachers on Kaua'i is at a CRITICALLY LOW level.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
Yes! Please let us know right away and we will let out onsite coordinator know. The restaurant will have waiters at the reception, you can inform the waiter of your restrictions as well.

Should I rent a car?
Answer
Renting a car is HIGHLY recommended! There are buses on Kaua'i, however it is easiest to rent a car.
