Our story began 10 years ago now at Marist College. Before actually knowing each other, some signs of fate existed that may have predicted the future; an instagram "like" before freshman year and sitting next to the girl who was always late in chemistry (before she dropped it). However, it was Sophomore year when we finally got to know each other thanks to Ashlee injuring her peroneal tendon on the soccer field and Jack coming to the rescue in the training room. Needless to say, from there on out brought great times, memories and friends during our time at Marist, along with post-graduate life in Cohoes and East Northport. Many miles have been covered during that time, upstate and downstate, and we are so happy to take the next step of our relationship right where it began, at Marist College. We are extremely fortunate to be celebrating this day with our families and friends who have been a part of our journey and can't wait to make more memories with you all on November 1st, 2024.
What is the most romantic place on earth to get engaged? Italy. Yes! How could I be so lucky? Upon our travels to the Amalfi Coast, Jack suffered from blood, sweat and tears bringing this diamond ring across the country. We found ourselves at Le Sirenuse, one of the most picturesque views of Positano. Jack's plan was to lure me onto a breathtaking balcony overlooking the town but of course, nothing always goes as planned. After he hand-dried the sweat off of his shirt and pants, Jack lured me out to the balcony where the cliffside of Positano sat. Unfortunately, we didn't make it too far, as the doorman quickly shut down our moment, assuming he wanted to take Ashlee for himself. Fortunately, with Jack's super slick shmoozing, the balcony was open and awaited only a beautiful fiance to be. Alas, Ashlee the narc, refused to go back on the balcony. A beautiful lunch overlooking Positano was not to be wasted if she was going to get kicked out for going on the balcony. After about 6 failed attempts to come over, Jack folded and told me he had a question to ask me. Ashlee's heart dropped and there was no choice anymore. Before she knew it, she came out to the gorgeous Amalfi Coast and Jack on one knee. He said he planned a whole speech but could barely muster a single word. Regardless, my partner in crime for the last 9 years had FINALLY (!!!) gotten down on one knee and I SAID YES!!! This was one of the happiest and most exciting time in our lives! Even though he made me wait until THE END of our trip, it was worth every second and we can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together!
