We're Getting Married!

We met thanks to a dating app! Chad replied to one of Ashlee's photos saying "wow that's cool that you snowboard!" which made her laugh and respond with, "I don't it's a halloween costume" (She was dressed up as Shaun White lol). Needless to say she let him get away with the mistake and after a few weeks of talking, our schedules finally matched up and we went on our first date. Chad will tell you Ashlee spent a lot of time laughing at his jokes and Ashlee will tell you she was mostly distracted by his dimples and blue eyes. By the end of the date it was pretty obvious that we were both smitten. After that we were pretty much inseparable and the rest is history!

Backstory: Ashlee was supposed to go on a work trip to Palm Beach, FL and Chad was was going to meet her there at the end of her trip for the weekend! Then Covid struck us both and Ashlee's work trip was canceled. BUT we reworked our flights to still go on our weekend vacation since we would be covid free by then. (Mind you, Chad and both sets of parents were freaking out behind the scenes) We made it to Palm Beach and had plans to go to a fancy hotel on the water for drinks and a walk along the beach; but at the hotel we were told they were at max capacity and couldn't go in. Chad started to panic as he had planned to propose at the hotel... We ended up going to a few places to kill time before dinner all while Ashlee questioned Chad on why he had become so "preoccupied" all of a sudden. Eventually, we make it to the beach for our walk along the water and Ashlee wanted to sit and watch the ocean, so she turned to put her things down and when she turned back Chad was on one knee showing off a huge grin. Her immediate response was "Shut up!" followed by lots of happy tears and laughter. We then proceed to get some pictures to document the moment and went off to a wonderful celebratory dinner!
