Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We're planning to have the ceremony outdoors (weather permitting), but the reception will be in a well heated tent. The weather in Chicago is unpredictable at this time of year. Last November we had days in the 60's while a couple years ago we had snow. Check the weather ahead of time so you can dress accordingly.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception tent where we will be serving finger foods and beverages.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Guests will be directed to the designated parking area by staff. The parking is free.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled. Our ceremony starts at 4:00 pm.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we're choosing to only invite children from direct family members. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Thanks for understanding.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can't make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP no, so we can plan accordingly.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Our only request is that you turn off your phone and no pictures during our ceremony. After that, we encourage all the pictures. Please tag your photos with our wedding hashtag #APsquared so we can keep track of all the memories!

Will food be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

OF COURSE! We will have finger foods during cocktail hour followed by a BBQ dinner served buffet style.

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

We can accommodate special diets. Please contact us at least 2 weeks before the wedding.
