Flight
EDI is the most convenient airport to fly into, approx 35min drive from the castle. You can also fly into Glasgow (GLA), which is 1hr 15min drive. There are some direct flights from the USA to EDI/GLA, but you may have to connect through London Heathrow (LHR). **Bonus points (not really) if you fly United**
Travel Note
All travelers entering the UK from the USA are REQUIRED to obtain a visa even for short term events, effective immediately. It is very quick and easy, but could take a few days to process. You will need your passport for this. You can apply at the link below (VIEW) or download the app (UK ETA).
Rental Car
In the UK, driving is on the LEFT side of the road. US Driver's Licenses are valid in the UK, although some rental car agencies may also require an International Driving Permit. Taxis are available near Edinburgh if you do not wish to drive.
Shuttle

We will be running a bus from the Hilton Edinburgh Carlton hotel to the venue once in the morning, and back from the venue to this hotel once in the evening on the wedding day. You do not need to stay at this hotel to be able to use the bus; just ensure you are here for the pickup time if you are interested. Exact departure and arrival time is TBD.

We have a block of rooms available here under "The Wedding of Ashlan & Robert" with a group rate. We will be offering the Wedding Shuttle from this location, but there are numerous other hotel options within walking distance. The Edinburgh Christmas Market will also be operating next door during this time. **Note: these are refundable rooms. The rates may be lower if you book non-refundable options outside of this block.
