We met sophomore year of high school in chemistry class. Lavoise says he initiated our relationship—but I’ll always say that if I hadn’t sat in his seat that day, none of it would have started. Funny how one small moment can turn into a lifetime. Our first date was June 29th, 2018. We went to see Jurassic World, and from that night on, we were inseparable. If we weren’t together, we were on the phone. What started as a high school crush grew into something intentional, steady, and rooted in faith. Over the past seven years, we’ve grown up together. We’ve grown individually, strengthened collectively, and learned what it truly means to love with patience, grace, and God at the center. On March 28th, we celebrate one year of marriage — one year of honoring the covenant we made before God. It has been the sweetest chapter yet. As we gather with the people who mean the most to us, we’re not just celebrating our first anniversary. We’re also stepping into a new season as Lavoise begins his journey in college football coaching — a calling we’ve prayed over and trusted God to guide. With coaching comes incredible opportunity… and very unpredictable timing. So yes — this celebration came together quickly! But we’ve learned that sometimes you don’t wait for the “perfect” moment — you celebrate when you can. And right now felt right. From high school classmates to husband and wife, from teenage dreams to answered prayers, we are so grateful to celebrate this season — and the many more God has ahead — surrounded by the people we love most.
