Celebrate with us !!!

Hey guys! Asher here. I wanted to share a brief bit of how I met Em . . . May our story be a reminder of the Lord’s complete faithfulness and sovereignty— one of grace and love— one of peace and joy. Originally, we met through our friend Grace— who set us up on a blind date of sorts. I asked Emily Lynn if she wanted to go to dinner sometime that week and she responded that Saturday, February 24th, at 8:00 AM for Savoy cinnamon rolls would work better (“how cool is that ?!”). Saturday morning came around, and by the grace of God, we both showed up !!! It didn’t take long to realize the depth and intentionally of one another in our conversations that morning and throughout the rest of the day . . . oh yes, I asked her on a part two that afternoon. The weeks to come were only more confirming as our desires, life callings, and passions were so deeply intertwined. Our love for Jesus, family, people, missions, water, mountains, art, sunshine, long walks, slow Sundays, and smoothies began to work into our day-to-day lives. On March 8th, I asked Em if she wanted to be my girlfriend. The weeks that followed were filled with more Jesus. The Holy Spirit truly has given us both a peace in our relationship that surpasses all understanding— one that guards our hearts and mind in Christ Jesus. It is so beautiful, and even in the more difficult moments— it is so good. Our Father gives us enough for every day, and we are resting fully in His arms. There have been countless moments of unprecedented and unexplained moments where the Holy Spirit has confirmed this relationship. There is no other confirmation we need. God is in this! On June 23rd, I asked Em to marry me. The day was full of rest and our favorite things— chai, church, Trader Joe’s snacks, painting and red wine at the Gathering Place, lots of flowers, and finally the proposal at Joe's berry farm. It truly was a tender day that neither I nor Em will ever forget. The Lord has been so faithful to us. He has placed us in each other’s life and we have zero doubt in that. If you're reading this, we thank you. Thank you for wanting to be a part of our lives. Thank you for the many prayers and and acts of kindness towards us as we enter into this season.
