We're getting married!

We first started talking through the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Admitted Students page on Facebook when Allison "shot her shot" and messaged Mason about his favorite kind of fishing. We spent the next month and a half texting, talking on the phone all night, and laughing over FaceTime before we *finally* got to meet up and hang out in person. That afternoon consisted of wandering around the UWSP campus, eating pizza, and promising to see each other again soon. School started, we survived, and the rest of the story is just us learning to grow and serve God together as a team.

"I never had a specific event or moment that really made me think, 'This is it. He's the one.' Instead, it was a lot of really small events and moments that made it obvious I found my mate. I remember thinking from the very beginning that Mason was just so wonderful, so everything-I-ever-wanted that I would pray and pray I got to keep him forever. He's goofy and sarcastic and a hopeless romantic and it didn't take long before I realized that there really wasn't anyone else I'd want to spend life loving."

"I'm reminded every day why Allison is the one for me, from the time I wake up to the time I fall asleep, I can't help but wonder what I did to deserve the wonderful woman I'll be calling my wife. There isn't a specific moment where I realized she was the one but the many moments we've shared, big and small, smooth and rough."

Mason took Allison on a surprise evening trip to Stevens Point, blindfolded her, and took her for a short walk. When she took off the blindfold, they were standing in the spot where they'd shared their first kiss and where Mason had given her a promise ring a year and a half prior. He asked, and she said yes!

After months of deliberation and figuring out the little details, Mason and Allison officially tied the knot in Mackinaw City, Michigan, with only their parents, siblings, and preacher. The best way for us to explain it is that it was just time for us to be married and we couldn't wait another day, so we ran away and made it happen. We're still looking forward to our big wedding in December and getting to celebrate with everyone!! **Special thank-you to our parents, who would move the earth to make our dreams come true.
