HOW WE MET: OK Cupid and Chicken Noodle Soup for the Win!

Most of you have probably heard this story but in case you have not: Jordan and Catherine met through OK Cupid, an online dating platform. Due to Cat's love for English and writing, she had drafted up a pretty lengthy "essay" about herself, including all the good AND all the bad. Jordan messaged Cat to let her know he read the whole thing, and he loved it. So they decided to meet up. Jordan originally wanted to take Cat to his favorite restaurant, Granite City (where he took all the ladies), but alas! It was closed. So they decided to go to Old Chicago instead. They had a fantastic first date, but unfortunately Cat was feeling a little under the weather at the time. So she ended the date earlier than she would've liked. Jordan went home unsure if Cat was feeling the same way as he was (ecstatic). But lo and behold! She was feeling the same way indeed, and later texted Jordan about her illness as well as the pleasant time she had on the date. Fast forward to a couple of days later, where Jordan offered to come over to keep Cat company while she rested and healed. When Jordan arrived to the door of Cat's apartment, he had with him a Tupperware full of homemade chicken noodle soup with his full name written in sharpie on the top of the lid. It was adorable. Little did Cat know at the time, he had actually made a whole batch from scratch before the one he brought over- his intention was for that batch to be for Cat, but he tried it himself to make sure it tasted alright & it was so good, he ate the whole thing himself. So he had to make a second batch for Catherine. The second date commenced and the two ate some soup, and then played a card game where each player had to make up various rules. Jordan suggested that every time he and Cat made eye contact, they had to high five each other. After only one short game, their hands were sore, because there was A LOT of eye contact. It made for an evening of giggling, and it ended with Cat and Jordan already feeling like they found the one! From that day on, they hung out every. single. day. And now they are getting married, hooray! Thanks for reading : )
