Things To Do

Bodega Bay is one of our favorite places along the Northern California Coast. It's where mountains and cliffs meet rivers and the ocean. We always recommend doing some research on the area but wanted to share some recommended activities, places, and things to do during the weekend.

Golf At The Links at Bodega Harbour

This is a beautiful course that plays along the coast. It has narrow fairways and can be made to be challenging if/when the winds pick up in the early afternoons.

Places to Eat - Spud Point Crab Company

Get here early if you can - they make a mean crab sandwich and have some of the best chowder you can find on the coast.

Things to do - Muir Woods National Monument

Want to see some of the largest trees in the world? Make an appointment here as they do schedule out parking and passes in an effort to control crowds and preserve the environment.

Hiking Mount Tamalpais

This is one of the tallest peaks in the Bay Area. If you want to take this hike we recommend starting off near Stinson Beach and taking any of the trails up the mountain. Please make sure to select a trail that matches your interests and capabilities.

Home to the highly ranked beers Pliny the Elder and Pliny the Younger, this is a smaller brewery that often has a line forming about an hour before opening for those folks looking to fill up a Growler. They focus mostly on IPAs.

Point Reyes Lighthouse

Have some extra time on your way up or way home? Stop by Point Reyes and take in the magnificent view it has to offer. Along the way grab coffee, lunch, or snacks at one the many local shops along Highway 1.

One of the biggest Tourist Destinations in San Francisco is the Pier. Just a few blocks from where Ashley and Jim currently live and near the North Beach Neighborhood it offers fantastic views of the Golden Gate and Alcatraz (when it's not foggy).

One of the largest metropolitan parks in the US this park holds a Conservatory of Flowers, Windmills, a par 3 golf course, and a heard of buffalo. A great spot for drive or walk as you pass through the city.

Want some good chinese food? This place is home to some of the best you'll find in Chinatown. Situated right where Chinatown hits the main artery of Little Italy and the North Beach neighborhood, be prepared to sit down and order quickly as the main hostess is there to drive efficiency!

Alcatraz Island
