We LOVE Portland, Maine! This is a small city, known for it's amazing food! I recommend showing up to Portland very hungry and with reservations made far in advance. Our favorite fancy restaurant is Fore Street, which is a brick-fired farm-to-table restaurant. Popular spots include: Eventide, Central Provisions, Duck Fat, and the infamous Holy Donut to name a few! Portland is only 45 minutes away from our venue. If you are looking to travel up Friday night, we recommend staying over in Portland on Friday, then heading up to our venue on Saturday.
This national park is so different from the others. There are amazing hiking and biking trails, a beautiful beach, and a quintessential New England town, known as Bar Harbor, nearby. We highly recommend biking along the Carriage Path and ending at the Carriage House for a glass of rose or beer and a popover! In Bar Harbor it is fun window shopping at all the souvenir shops and relaxing at the beer and wine garden in the center of town. Acadia is located about 2.5 hours Northeast of our venue. Most people love camping in these parks, but there are also some great Air Bnbs!
This beach town is super fun to visit! There are great beaches and cute shops and restaurants. The beach can get fairly crowded, but in June it should not be as crowded as July or August. This town is located an hour and a half SOUTH of our venue. It is near Portsmouth, NH, which is another favorite spot of ours!
