Highly Recommended: Rideshare or Carpool Guest entry opens at 5:00 pm. DO NOT TYPE IN “Japanese Friendship Garden” (main garden entrance will be closed) Use this address: Gold Gulch Parking Lot (guest drop off only, otherwise parking at this location requires a special permit) 2220 Paseo De Oro, San Diego CA 92101 Please choose your most convenient method of arrival: 1. UBERS/LYFTS (recommended): Travel to Gold Gulch Parking Lot; Ask Uber to continue up the red path on the map to the venue entrance gate (black chain link fence) for drop-off then driver may U-turn to return to exit. 2. SELF-DRIVING - This option uses the general parking lots/meters and requires some payment for parking (see next FAQ section). Try parking in the Organ Pavillion Lot, as it is the closest public lot, then use the maps link (Gold Gulch Parking Lot) to walk to the venue gate (black chain link fence). Parking Fees in Balboa Park

Beginning in 2026, Balboa Park has implemented parking fees which are now in effect. We highly recommend Uber, but if you are self-driving please research parking and the associated fees ahead of time to plan accordingly for the wedding day. Meter Parking in Balboa Park: Meter rates are $2.50 per hour, up to $10 a day Enforced between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily. Parking Lots For parking lots within Balboa Park, paid parking is enforced from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Level 1 Lots: Space Theater, Casa de Balboa, Alcazar, Organ Pavilion, and South Carousel Verified resident rate: $5 for up to four hours; $8 full day Non-resident rate: $10 for up to four hours; $16 full day Level 2 lots: Pepper Grove, Upper Inspiration Point, Marston Point and Federal, Palisades and Bea Evenson Verified resident rate: Free Non-resident rate: $10 per day Level 3 lot: Lower Inspiration Point Verified resident rate: Free Non-resident rate: First three hours free; $10 full day

What is the dress code?

Attire: Semi-formal to Formal dress. Venue Surface: Compact dirt and pavement (no grass). Recommended: Women have block heels for ease of walking. Please take care to bring a warm coat or jacket, we anticipate the evening/night in San Diego to be cool.

May I bring a plus one?
Answer
As our wish is to keep our wedding intimate to create a meaningful experience for our closest friends and family there will be limited seating. Your RSVP will designate if you received a plus one.

Are children allowed?

While we love and cherish all the little ones in our lives, we’ve chosen to include only the children of immediate family in our celebration. Thank you for understanding.

To help our wedding planning go smoothly, we kindly request that you RSVP by June 26, 2026 (Friday). We appreciate your prompt response and look forward to celebrating with you!

How do I communicate my dietary preferences?
Answer
Our wedding celebration will feature a succulent diversity of appetizers during cocktail hour, and a fixed dual-plated entrée containing chicken and beef for each guest. If you are unable to consume one of these protein types, please designate so in your RSVP dietary preferences, and you will receive 2 servings of the remaining protein instead. If you have any other special dietary restrictions, allergies, or preferences, please let the wedding couple know in the 'Reception' section of your RSVP so we can be sure to accommodate.

Hotel Room Block Info
Answer
We're excited to help our guests find convenient and affordable accommodations! Hotel room blocks with discounted rates will be at the Homewood Suites Hotel by Hilton (SD Downtown/Bayside Campus) in a limited quantity. If the room block fills up early and you would like to stay at Homewood Suites please reach out to the wedding couple before July 26 to allow plenty of time to expand the block.
