Alex and Ashley were traveling to Cozumel, Mexico for vacation. One night, they got ready for dinner and when the sun was setting Alex asked Ashley if she wanted to go for a walk on the beach. In true Ashley fashion, she said no because she didn't want to get her feet sandy and wanted to go to dinner. Alex stood there stunned, but when he realized she was heading for the restaurant followed after her, not knowing what to do, as he knew what she was like when she was hangry. Once he caught up to her Ashley began questioning Alex about if he was ever going to ask her to marry him, as they had almost been together 5 years at this point. Bewildered, Alex grabbed Ashley by the hand and said "will you just come to the beach with me, geez" and she finally understood how embarrassed she should be. Then, he got down on one knee, pulled out a ring from his pocket and simply said "marry me." Naturally, he had tears in his eyes because he is the luckiest person alive, which you would never guess from this story. And then they live happily ever after. Written by Ashley

Alex and Ashley never had a proper first date, and around a year into the relationship they decided that it was time for a redo. While serving at her job, Ashley saw a couple on a first date that looked so happy and found out it was the couple's first date. In true Ashley fashion, she fussed at Alex for not ever having a proper first romantic outing. Alex saw this as an opportunity and showed up at her door the next day with flowers, and took Ashley to her favorite restaurant, Kaze. The very first trip Alex and Ashley ever took to together was to Boston, MA in May of 2021. They saw the sights, ate good food, and had a blast. One disgustingly adorable thing they decided to do was put a lock with their initials on it on a bridge just outside of where they were staying. Many years later, in February of 2025, in true Ashley fashion, she funded a trip for them to go back to Boston. They were strolling through Back Bay and came across that very bridge. They grew concerned because they saw a ton of locks had been cut. However, in the very spot they stood almost 4 years prior, their lock remained. It was a grossly sickening reminder that there love also remained, or something like that. Written by Ashley

After being together some months, Valentine's Day came around and while a nice dinner was set to be the main entree for this year, the couple decided to do something less orthodox. In college station, there just so happened to be a snowstorm, and in true Ashley fashion, Ashley thought it would be a great idea to walk to Walmart in the snow to get a craft. The walk included over 2 miles one way, falling on the ice, and a LOT of complaining, but ended in Ashley and Alex making each other custom sweaters, and Alex sewing a heart into Ashleys sleeve figuratively and literally.
