What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Imagine you’re trying to put together an outfit to get chose in Wakanda. Wear that. (African print cocktail attire) It’s also going to be super hot during our 30 minute ceremony. Keep that in mind.

Where should I park?

Answer

If you are able to walk, park at the reception venue (Treme Market Branch) and walk to the ceremony at Congo Square inside of Louis Armstrong Park. There will be plenty of free parking on the neutral ground across from Treme Market Branch. If you can Uber or Lyft to the wedding and back, even better.

What’s a second line?

Answer

Second line is a tradition in brass band parades in New Orleans, Louisiana. The second line's style of traditional dance, in which participants walk and sometimes twirl an umbrella or handkerchief in the air, is called "second lining" (Yes, I got that from Wikipedia).

Will everyone have a seat at the reception?

Answer

We will try our best to make sure there is enough seating for most of our guests, however, this wedding will be in true New Orleans fashion! Drinks will be po’ed up all night and you will leave the party fed! With that being said, some guests will have reserved seating while most seats are first come first served. Guests are encouraged to mingle and dance. For your eating pleasure, high boy tables will be plentiful.

Although we’re eager to see all of our friends and family celebrate in our special day, please note that after 8pm, our music selection may contain explicit language.

Will there be a bathroom at the ceremony venue?

Answer

I’m glad you asked! The short answer? Yes. The long answer? Yessssss... but there will only be one Porta Potty. They will be clean, but please keep this in mind. We recommend using the restroom before arriving.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If you are married, yes. If you are in a very long-term relationship, yes. If y'all just "talkin" then you can meet someone at the wedding :) Please let us know if you are requesting an additional guest.
