We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Where to begin? The beginning would make sense, but we've never followed the traditional path so we'll start from the end of the beginning. We got engaged over Labor Day weekend in Bend, Oregon after a mountain bike ride. The proposal went off without a hitch and was so well organized thanks to Ben's sister, Hannah. There were friends, champagne, and of course, many dogs there to celebrate. The previous eight years were filled with three moves, travel to distant places, lots of bluegrass, tons of adventure, plenty of good times, some hard times, a house and a dog - Saydee. We didn't know it at the time, but I think to others our connection was obvious - a happy-go-lucky girl and a light-hearted boy - both filled with impatience and eagerness to explore the world around them. Before it was ever love, it was a friendship. We had mutual friends at Appalachian State and shared a love for 90's alternative and the outdoors. We were friends before anything else and that's what keeps us grounded, strong, and full of admiration and appreciation for each other.
