Wedding Party

We are thankful to have such amazing family and friends to stand next to us during one of the biggest events in our lives!

Natasha Butler

Maid of Honor

I have the pleasure of being Aschley's first cousin, although for me, I feel like her big sister! When we were little, we use to draw pictures of our wedding dresses! I have watched her grow into a beautiful woman, mother, and now wife! I am so proud of her and cant wait to stand next to her on her big day!

Robert Matthews

Best Man

I met BP in 2011 at a JMC event hosted by the H’ville Nupes. I found out that were both aspirants of the greatest chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi. I was told to "dress" for this event, upon meeting BP, he had on a tuxedo. I said to myself, oh, he GOT dressed, later finding out he was a groomsman in a wedding that just concluded. I found that BP would have a flair for fashion. My fondest memory was the 2016 Delta Christmas Party. He wore a navy fedora, a camel wool trench, plaid pants, navy double-breasted blazer with brown biker gloves. When he arrived, ALL EYES were on him as he held that coat with his index finger until tossing it on a chair. From that day, BSP stood for Black Star Power! That's one of the reasons I love him and am honored to be his best man.

Bridesmaid

I can’t recall my first time meeting Aschley…. but this is due in part to being 2 years old when we met at La Petite Academy in Goodlettsville, TN. We just so happened to be the only minority at the time and our two little souls just connected. Our moms became good friends right along with us and the rest was history as we became more family than friends. It’s a friendship that’s carried on for decades through some of our most life changing moments. I am truly honored to be a part of this special moment, and I couldn’t be more excited for this loving union! Now let’s get you down this aisle girl!

Brandon Moragne

Groomsman

BP and I initially met as we were both inducted into The Tennessee State University Collegiate 100 Black Men of America. Fast forward 5 years, I show up to an informational for H’Ville Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc where “according to BP”, he vouched for me to join the infamous “group” already established. This led to us becoming line brothers. We have somewhat similar personalities except he’s a lot meaner lol, so we naturally gravitated towards one another. If there’s a party, we’re together especially if DJ Yola comes on! He’s a good guy, great friend, go-getter, and literally the type to give you his last. We definitely can vent to each about whatever especially relationships. I know my guy is doing the right thing and I’m proud of him. Congrats to the soon to be Parker’s!

Danielle Murrell

Bridesmaid

Aschley and I met during the fall semester of 2009, we had both made the superb choice of joining the prestigious Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. Although we had forged our sisterhood in 2009, our friendship did not begin until the Summer of 2010 at Atlanta Greek Picnic. This unofficial rite of passage into greekdom can either strengthen or break sisterly/brotherly bonds. We fortunately experienced the former, eventually forming the "Fab Four” with Jalisa and Epiphany. Our friendship has continued to grow and blossom, from weekly TGIT road trips to baby showers, weddings to birthday cookouts and Friendsmas. We have shared some our best and most unforgettable life moments together. I’m excited to experience one more life event with her as she becomes Aschley Parker.

Dustin Overton

Groomsman

I met Brandon in 2009 as a young man when he began his journey in Freemasonry. I became a mentor to him in relation to freemasonry and our friendship evolved. He soon became my main brown liquor partner. Over the years he has grown into more than just a friend, but a family member, from serving as a groomsman in my wedding to accepting the role as my children’s God Father. He is a true brother.

Jalisa Nevels

Bridesmaid

I met Aschley during the fall of 2009 after we both made the decision to became members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. We instantly clicked! While AKA made us sisters, life’s journey made us friends. Throughout the past almost 12 years we have watched each other reach the highest of highs, and in some instances the lowest of lows. From graduations and birthdays to baby showers and now a wedding, it has been an absolute pleasure watching Aschley become the woman she is today!

Dwayne Woods

Groomsman

I met BP in 2007 as we became members of Generation of Educated Men at TN State Univ. While working for GEM we were also trying to become Nupes (LOL). I always admired him for his sense of creativity, ambition, integrity, and style. In 2011, I was introduced to the Hville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. where I met BP. While pledging we grew closer. We realized we were raised very similar and shared a lot of views. He was active in keeping me sane, accountable, and holding me up LITERALLY (I’m 6, he's 7). Moving has changed nothing. We still talk often and support each other in every walk of life. From epic trips to heartbreaking losses, we have stood by each other through tragedy and triumph. I am very blessed to have a brother like BP in my life.
