It all started on a little dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel, recommended by friends. They started messaging back and forth, each looking for someone who was a follower of Christ and involved in ministry. Miche happened to take a trip to Colorado around that time, all while they continued to get to know each other through texting (you know, the modern way). One night Miche was in Irvine with some friends and mentioned via text that she was in the area visiting friends...and how else was Mike supposed to respond, but by inviting her to meet up after a month of messaging back and forth? With the encouragement of her friends, Miche went to Mike at an outdoor mall after all the stores were closed. They sat and talked for two hours, till it seemed like everyone else had gone. They'd like to say the rest is history, but God had a lot in store for the next year and a half journey to where they are today in the middle of their engagement

Mike, Miche and the Soles were supposed to go tent camping in Big Bear this weekend. It just so happened that they got 12 inches of snow the weekend before and it was 20 degrees at night. All of them chickened out and decided the weekend before that it would be too cold. So Miche asked Mike what they should do instead. Unbeknownst to Miche, Mike had been planning with the Loks and Soles to get her to agree to Santa Barbara. Inviting the Soles to a botanical garden, they made the drive up to Central Cal. When they met up with the Soles, it suggested to take pictures on a bridge they had seen. As Mike and Miche were standing on the bridge, Diana suggested they take a picture together. Mike started putting down his coffee, so Miche started to do the same. After Diana took the picture, Mike started saying a bunch of words and Miche became totally tunnel-visioned and couldn't hear a thing he was saying as he turned her to face him and got down on his knee. She said YES!!! And then a lady screamed and yelled (a bystander) and asked to see the ring! Hidden in the trees were Stella and Ron, the incognito photographers that captured it all.
