Things To Do

The Serbian Bakery/Blue Door Bakery

4 North Main Street, Jackson, CA 95642
, 209-609-2978

The bride loves their sourdough bread- they make it fresh every morning. The mushroom danishes are to die for. The sticky buns are a must. And the chocolate chip cookies are bigger than your face and still are one of the best cookies we've had. Cash only but there's an ATM across the street. Get there early because they sell out of the good stuff fast. The bride says, "I love that you walk up and buy it right off the street!" Hours: Mon-Sat 9am-3pm closed Sundays

Rosebud's Cafe

26 Main Street, Jackson, CA 95642
, 209-257-0227

Ambiance is small and homey featuring local art on the walls. It's like stepping into a little New Orleans. A locavore's dream menu with delicious vegetarian options, incredibly fresh eggs, amazing bacon, and generous portions. The food is fresh and all good! Wonderful house interpretations of familiar dishes such as eggs benedict and Croque Madame. If you like warm Louisiana style donuts, do not skip the beignets. Warning: the potatoes are baked then smashed then deep fried...mmm! You place your order up front then grab a seat. Fresh squeezed juice in the mimosas on Sundays. They have a garden in the back they cook from! Staff is always friendly with a family-run warm welcome. We are having our hen brunch here the day of the wedding! Hours: M-W Closed Th-Su 9a-2p

National Hotel Jackson

2 Water Street, Jackson, CA 95642
, 209-217-8217

Historic Victorian-era hotel in the heart of downtown Jackson. Built in 1852 and is the longest running hotel in California! We love the historic photos, paintings, and artifacts on each floor of the hotel. Fully restored: comfortable beds, great shower pressure, plenty of towels, very clean, and friendly helpful staff. Great continental breakfast. Free wifi, satellite tv, and parking. We are having our hen house here the Friday night before the wedding!
