We’re engaged!

Before we officially met… Randy had heard about me through our friend, Romy. Who unknowingly became part of our story before it even began. Although he passed before getting to see us engaged, he did get to see us finding our way to each other and beginning to build a life together… something we will always carry with us. RIP. Not long after, Randy asked me to cut his hair while I was still in cosmetology school, and what started as a simple introduction slowly turned into friendship. We spent nights around backyard fires with our kids, talking for hours, laughing easily, and building a connection that felt natural from the very beginning. Somewhere along the way, friendship turned into something undeniable. Long before I was ready to fully admit it, Randy already seemed completely certain about us. From the start, he loved me with a kind of patience, intention, and steadiness I had never experienced before. What surprised me the most wasn’t how deeply I fell in love with him… it was how safe that love felt. Over time, we built a relationship rooted in growth, resilience, family, and choosing each other every single day. No matter what life looked like around us, being together always felt like home. By the time Randy proposed on Christmas Eve in front of my family, we were more than ready to take the next steps in this life we’re rebuilding. Like the continuation of something my heart had already chosen long before the ring ever appeared. Now we’re preparing for the next chapter together, surrounded by the family and love we worked so hard to build.
