We like to say our story started in Grade 5… and then the universe pressed pause for three decades. We were classmates. Viel (the naughty-but-shy boy) and Tin (the outgoing, a bit boyish, but very obedient girl). We liked each other the way 10- or 11-year-olds do. Corny jokes, stolen glances, pretending not to care. We both knew it was puppy love. Cute, innocent, and short. Before the school year ended, Viel gave Tin a studio picture of him with a sweet dedication at the back. Tin kept it. Then life did its thing. High school? Our schools were literally divided by a wall, but we never met. College and early adult life? Totally separate roads. Tin flew to the US, Viel stayed in the Philippines and went full corporate life. No drama, no falling out, just life moving forward. Fast forward: social media. One day, we saw each other online.
