FAQs

If you have any questions about the big day; travel, accommodations, what to wear, or anything in between, please reach out to me directly! Arussi Barrera (760) 655-2700
Question

What is the R.S.V.P. deadline?

Answer

Please R.S.V.P. by January 30th, 2026. We kindly ask that any responses received after this date will be considered a “no,” to finalize our headcount for the venue and catering. We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone who is able to join us!

Question

Dress Code/What should I wear?

Answer

We’re going for semi-formal attire with pastel colors. Light colors such as butter yellow, pastel pink, baby blue & lavender are encouraged. For women: please wear longer dresses (knee-length or longer). For men: button-down shirts with tie or suits. The vibe is springtime coastal California. San Diego can get chilly at night, so please remember to bring a sweater/coat to wear when the sun goes down.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin at Harbor Island Park promptly at 5:00 PM, so please plan to arrive no later than 4:30 PM to get parked, seated, and ready. Parking is across the street near Harbor Island Loft (the reception venue). The venue is conveniently close to San Diego International Airport, but traffic in the area can be unpredictable — especially near downtown — so give yourself plenty of time.

Question

Is there parking at the wedding/reception venue?

Answer

Yes, there is parking lot next to Harbor Island Loft, the reception venue. Vouchers will be available in the reception venue-grab one on the way out.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration (aside from our wedding party’s children).

Question

Are there any colors I should avoid wearing?

Answer

Yes, please skip white, ivory, champagne, etc. (men can wear white button ups shirts, though) so the bride can stand out, as well as very dark colors that may feel out of place for our sunny San Diego celebration. We’d love to see our guests in vibrant, joyful colors that match the fun, pastel coastal vibe of the day!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’d love for everyone to be present in this special moment with us. We’d like to have an “unplugged” ceremony (no phones and no cameras). However, please take all the photos and videos you want during the reception.

Question

What will I do after the ceremony while the wedding party is taking photos?

Answer

We will host cocktail hour at Harbor Island Loft (the reception venue) after the ceremony! Please mingle with other wedding guests over some delicious hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and a Mariachi band!

Question
