We started as friends in high school and continued dating in college. Life moved forward and we grew together. We knew the constant of our love and support for each other kept us grounded and provided us the freedom to explore life fearlessly.

Stephany's perspective: I was excited that I was going on vacation in Hawaii. I did not suspect that I would be getting engaged on that same trip. If you know me, you know that I love to be nestled in lush green mountains. Jay took me on a hike to Iao Valley in Maui. I sensed his restlessness, which is uncommon for AJ. I started to get nervous as he directed us along the hike. My heart was racing as we reached our destination. Then he got down on one knee. I was so excited and in shock that I put out the wrong hand to accept my engagement. The rest is history. Arthur's perspective: Incredibly excited and nervous, I made arrangements to propose in Maui. I wanted to make things perfect because perfection is what she deserves. We landed in Hawaii and that's all I could think about, going through the proposal in my head hundreds of times to not stutter over my words. Iao Valley was as beautiful as I hoped for! With the photographer in hiding and the HUGE ring box I was awkwardly trying to hide, I led Steph down to a path on the hike, got down on one knee and let my heart speak. It was as perfect as I envisioned it and her beautiful, smiling face was all I could see, forever after.
