It was a COVID love story - Lilly caught Ted's attention from their first Zoom call and caught his heart within moments of meeting in person. Lilly thought telling Ted she wasn’t interested in something casual would keep things just business, and maybe get some investor introductions. Instead, he took that as an invitation to take things seriously and move to Texas. He claimed he wasn't one to move quickly (something everybody he works with knows is patently false), then proceeded to woo Lilly with an urgency that sometimes surprised/unsettled her. Lilly was struck by Ted’s intelligence and compassion. She enjoyed getting to know him during trips together to Humboldt, LA and Texas.. After about a year, Ted knew he wanted to propose to Lilly, but he had no idea that she had already decided to beat him to the punch. She wanted him to know that she was as head over heels for him as he was for her, and wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

One of the last frontiers in the US, Humboldt County is where Ted first dove into the cannabis industry with the support of legacy cultivators. Home of the tallest tree in the world, it's beauty nourished Ted's dreams as he lived there building his business.. When Ted first met Lilly, Humboldt was their first trip together and the place where they first said “I love you.” It’s the place where they first lived together and decided they didn’t want to be apart again. It’s also where Lilly proposed!
