Nothing Fancy, Just Love

Arthur and Jenna first met at Cherry Hills Community Church at the end of September. They both had joined the manna connect course. During the dessert break, Jenna aproached Arthur and very awkwardly told him she was so happy that they were serving brownies that night. 🤦‍♀️ At the following class, the assignment was to discuss what God gave us as gifts to make us unique, and how could they help other people? Arthur wrote down that he was a DM for D&D. That became the opportunity to strike up a first conversation. Jenna had always wanted to play, so she hit Arthur up. Messages turned into videochats and invites to go to church together. They bonded over turbulent pasts, being saved by grace and God’s unending love, star wars, sci-fi, disney, and Lord of the Rings. Arthur got to know Jenna’s children, became a human playground, and began the journey to becoming a blended family. They decided that after both having tried many other ways in the past, they would embark on a relationship path following God’s design. Especially with Jenna being a mother of three, Arthur wanted to lead a Godly example. Keeping Christ at the center has been key. Relationships work with grace, mercy, forgiveness, and love that only God can teach us. On a wintery night after dancing in the falling snow with homemade hot chocolate, Arthur produced a ring pop and made a promise that he was commited to a future with Jenna and her kids. After getting her dad’s blessing, he took Jenna and the kids up to Lake Evergreen where he got down on one knee and requested eternity together. Jenna’s response.... “well...........of course I’ll marry you!!” And now, they are looking for friends and family to share in an adventure!
