Question

Will there be transportation to and from the venue?

Answer

Yes! Stella, the vintage OBX trolley, will be picking guests up at the following stops: -Marriott TownePlace Suites: pick up at 3:15pm -Holiday Inn Express: pick up at 3:30pm -Whalebone Cottages: pick up at 3:45pm The driver will drop guests off at any location they want on the way home, even if you did not take the trolley to the wedding!

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking right next to the venue! Please park in the gravel lot right next to The Pavilion. Do not park in the paved lot for The Blue Water Grill or Ship’s Store. Cars may be left overnight and picked up on Sunday.

Question

Do you have any restaurant recommendations?

Answer

For Breakfast: The Outer Banks is where Duck Donuts all began! Waveriders has great bagels and coffee. Cahoon's Market offers great breakfast/lunch sandwiches to go from their back deli counter. Morning View, Front Porch Cafe and Charis are great casual coffeehouses. For Lunch/Dinner: The Bonzer Shack in Kill Devil Hills is a favorite for a casual bite with a beachy vibe. Sam and Omie's is one of the first restaurants in the Outer Banks and is great any time of day. Steamers serves amazing seafood and to-go boil pots! Mulligans has a fun tiki bar on the top deck. Tortugas Lie is another popular lunch/dinner spot for fresh local seafood. Poor Richard’s in Manteo serves amazing sandwiches right on the water. It’s All Gravy is a great spot for pasta or subs. For Ice Cream: Surfin’ Spoon is a local fave for soft serve...stuff a dollar bill in the ceiling and they’ll donate it to a local autism foundation. And you can’t go wrong with Fat Boyz for all kinds of ice cream dishes!

Question

How to we get to the OBX?

Answer

The closest airports are Norfolk International (82 miles) and Raleigh Durham International (192 miles). It is about a 5 hour drive from the DC area. We appreciate you making the journey to celebrate with us!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your kids, we are planning an adults-only wedding. If your kids are traveling with you to the Outer Banks, we are happy to provide local babysitter recommendations!
