Most of our friends and family are familiar with our love story, but we met through social media. Raymar slid in the Dm's first. Crazy right? Nope, It was a pure blessing. He was 19 and I was 20, my son was four months old at the time. We immediately began to facetime often. What really got me was when he said "Did I mention I am 6'4?" as one of his pickup lines! We had our first date at the levee In Newport, Ky. It felt like we had known each other our whole lives. For sure an instant connection. With him, I immediately felt safe. A year had passed (we communicated every few months). If you ask him he will say I "Ghosted him". Raymar was exactly who I prayed for and more! Sometimes, as I would randomly think of him, he would text me and vice versa. When we started dating Officially on March 15th, 2017. Three Months later Raymar stepped into a not so easy but rewarding role, parenting. We had conversations about any and everything. Raymar and Amir became instant best friends, he helped potty train him. He taught him manners, patience and so much more. Four years later Amir calls him Dad. Raymar has and forever will be the sweetest guy I have ever known. From holding my shoes when my feet hurt to giving me his jacket when I'm cold, down to sharing his food even though I don't share mine. He is my person. God met us where we were according to his purpose and In the last two years, has really moved in our lives. We moved to Arkansas on July, 27th 2019. Since we have been here we have shifted as parents and elevated in ways we couldn't have imagined all because of God's GRACE. As we grow together we feel like it's time. If you ask Raymar he will say "I knew she was the one when I saw her, she wasn't ready but I knew she would be mine". Marriage with God in the middle, Is our #1 goal. It took a lot of praying, fasting, and growth to get where we are and to also appreciate where we are going according to God's purpose for us. Welcome to the love story of the Ruckers!
