On our second trip to New York, we decided to do round two of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. We got bagels for breakfast and a cappuccino for the train ride. I (Jess) only ate half the bagel (cause the whole thing is a lot), and put the other half in my coat pocket to save for later. Only, walking around The Met with a bagel all day sounded like a bad idea, so I suggested that we sit outside first so I can finish it before going in. We got to The Met and sat at this fountain outside. Art was taking photos of me stuffing my mouth with the rest of the bagel and of course little did I know that these were going to be memories of the moments before this huge live event. Art offered to throw away my bagel paper to which I responded, "it's okay its on the way to the door". He said we'll hang out for a little bit outside and went to throw it away for me. I was looking around at the architecture and the next thing I knew, I turned and saw Art kneeling beside me with a ring box in hand. He'll tell you my first reaction response was, "nooooooo." To which he said, "yeeeesssss". I said "I can't believe this is happening right now." He asked me to marry him, and I said yes! We spent the rest of the morning and afternoon exploring the artifacts and collections of paintings in the museum. (P.S. There's some great lighting in there that makes diamonds really sparkle!)
