Farmer's Market

This is one of our favorite things to do on a Saturday Morning from 8-12am. Sweet vendors and live zydeco music from 9-11am it's a relaxed and family friendly option if you come to Lafayette early, before the wedding.

Moncus Park

Well-maintained park in central Lafayette with trails & walking paths, playground, Treehouse, lake and so much more! Great for some fresh air and a walk. Notice - it is pay to park after 30 minutes, not expensive though, only 2 dollars per hour.

The Yard Goat

Must be 21 +. A German style beer garden serving over 50 taps and cocktails. Casual atmosphere with plenty of outdoor seating. (if you are from New Orleans) this is owned by the same family as Wrong Iron.

Adopted Dog Brewing

Craft brewery located in Lafayette, LA offering in house brewed craft beer and good food. It's open to families and dogs with plenty of room for kids to run around! We like to bring a game and have a beer here to relax and celebrate.

Children's Museum of Acadiana

Museum provides a range of interactive exhibits designed to teach kids crafts & practical knowledge. Great activity for kids with mini grocery store, play restaurant, bubbles, Newscast studio and so much more!

Borden's Ice Cream Shoppe

Visit the last retail Borden's Ice Cream Shoppe in the World in Lafayette, Louisiana where you can get a taste of ice cream done "the Old Fashion Way"! Arrington's favorite flavor of ice cream here is the coffee! (it's great)

Vermilionville Historic Village

Vermilionville is a 23-acre historic and folklife park along the banks of the Bayou Vermilion that depicts the Acadian, Creole and Native American culture. It's a fun way to spend time learning outside with the family!

Pour Restaurant & Bar

A nice restaurant and bar in River Ranch. Great selection of cocktails and wine with delicious appetizers. Indoor and outdoor seating and a great place to people-watch (according to Arrington)

Palmyre

A chic cocktail bar in a nice part of town, River Ranch. It's a great place to have a nice drink and people watch and have a nice conversation. River Ranch is also a great place to walk around and shop during the day!

Rêve Coffee Lab River Ranch

Great Craft coffees, snacks/breakfast foods, and they serve wine in the evenings. One of our favorites spots to grab a work/study, catch up with friends, or grab a coffee and walk. Family friendly and casual

Avery Island

Explore Avery Island, Louisiana's famed Tabasco headquarters, and discover its natural wonders, including the Jungle Gardens and Bird City. Great family friendly option if you are free the day after the wedding!

Caffé Cottage

This is a great bar by night and cafe by day. It honestly looks intimidating at first, but it's a good place to grab coffee or a drink. It's a 2 minute drive from the ceremony too!

Olde Tyme Grocery

Longtime po’ boy sandwich specialist with a down-home, counter-serve setup & some outdoor seating. Great place to grab a bite and beer and sit outside and talk for a while!

Coffeeweed Cottage

Despite what the name sounds like, it's a fun eclectic coffee shop with great gifts and plants! Gift Shop · Coffee shop · Nurseries & Gardening Store

Blue Moon Saloon & Guest House

Live music, great people & awesome vibe. A neighborhood honky tonk with international appeal. If you are looking for unique experience, this is definitely one as it also have a guest house. Ryan or I have never stayed there, but it seems really fun!

Pack & Paddle

Arrington used to work here. It's a family built hiking and kayak store. It's such a cool place to go look around and discover the innovation of outdoor product design!

Whiskey & Vine

* Must be 21 * As Lafayette’s classic cocktail lounge, Whiskey & Vine offers the perfect blend of New Orleans-inspired spirits, cuisine and music in one elegant venue. We recommend sitting upstairs (if available) or away from the stage (it can be a bit loud sometimes)

Rip Van Winkle Gardens

Beautiful semi-tropical gardens located on Jefferson Island. Between The little town of Delcambre and New Iberia!

Bayou Teche Brewing

It's a bit of a drive, but it's a great family friendly cajun style beer garden! Craft Beer, Tiki Cocktails & Neapolitan Pizza.

Parish Brewing Co.

A bit outside of Lafayette, this is a local brewery with great selection of IPAs and craft beers. Artsy urban vibe with bright colors.
