It was the Fall of 2011 when a friend introduced Lex and Bryan to one another. Bryan made a silly joke and Lex cracked a smile and laughed. Skip forward two years and the pair found themselves spending more time together. At just 17 years old, Bryan decided to make things official. On August 21st, he asked Alexis, “Will you be my girlfriend?” Fast forward 10 years into the future and we’re finally nearing the best part of this story! It’s Valentine’s Day and the couple couldn’t be together because of work, but Bry knew just the way to make that up. The next morning he woke up Lex with a bedside coffee and told her they’re going ring shopping! The couple strolled into a jewelry shop and Bry handed the reigns over to Lex and let her spend the next 2 months building her dream ring! Then radio silence…. Four loooooooong months later Lex and Bry flew 3,691 miles to Amsterdam on their 10 year anniversary trip. Bryan planned every detail and Lex just showed up ready with her 2 suitcases. They spent a few days roaming the city and enjoying each others company. On August 18th on their sunset cruise, Bry got down on one knee and said “I think I’m gonna cry.” With tears in his eyes, Lex, of course, laughs. They do their best to compose themselves and finally Bryan asked Alexis “Will you marry me?” This was the day Alexis waited for her entire life!
Bryan had been dating Alexis for almost ten years now, and he knew that she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He had been planning his proposal for months, wanting to make it a moment that she would never forget. In April, Bryan decided to reach out to event planners in Amsterdam. He wanted to make sure that every detail of the proposal was perfect, so he hired a team of professionals to help. He started by booking a private boat tour along the famous canals of Amsterdam. He also hired a photographer to capture the special moment, as well as a band to play their favorite songs as they sailed through the city. As the day of the proposal approached, Bry felt a mixture of nervousness and excitement. He had put so much thought and effort into planning the perfect moment. The day finally arrived and nothing was going according to plan. Bry felt sea sick even on land, his photographer hurt themselves in a skateboarding accident and Lex was running late for their cruise. As they were heading to the docks, Bryan gets the email he’s been waiting for all day and a replacement photographer was finally found and they made it just in the nic of time to the docks. Finally things were going to plan. The sun was setting over the picturesque canals and casting a warm glow over the city. With the band playing softly in the background, Bryan got down on one knee and asked Alexis to be his wife. Tears welled up in her eyes as she said yes, and the photographer captured the moment perfectly.
