Reagan National Airport (DCA) is the closest to the city. Options for getting into the city include metro and ride shares. Dulles (IAD) and Baltimore-Washington (BWI) Airports are also great options, but are not metro accessible. Be prepared to factor in additional travel costs if you opt to fly into one of these. Please feel free to contact us with questions and we are happy to help you figure it out!
We recommend staying in Northwest DC (near Chinatown, Downtown, Logan Circle, or Dupont Circle) or Capitol Hill. There are hundreds of hotels in DC, as well as many options on vacation rental websites like Airbnb and Home Away. Vacation rentals often include larger townhouses that are great for groups who would like to stay together. If you prefer to stay in a hotel, we suggest looking at the following options: - Marriott Marquis: https://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/wasco-marriott-marquis-washington-dc/ - Mason & Rook: http://www.masonandrookhotel.com/ - Holiday Inn Washington-Central/White House: https://www.ihg.com/holidayinn/hotels/us/en/washington/wasct/hoteldetail
Our wedding is garden party attire. Jackets and ties are not required, but no jeans please. Men may want to wear slacks and a button down, while summery sundresses are a great choice for women. The ceremony will take place outside and most guests will be standing on gravel, so please plan your footwear accordingly (flats or wedges recommended for women).
Probably not, but you can if you would like. It's easy to get around DC using public transportation or ride sharing. Please note that parking is extremely limited in the District. If you choose to rent a car, please check with where you are staying to ensure parking is available.
The ceremony will begin at 5:00 pm on September 2. We kindly ask guests to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to grab a drink and start mingling.
We love ALL of your children, however we have decided to make this an adults-only celebration. We hope you understand!
