Reception is postponed until 2021!

Our first date was on February 5th, 2018. On February 6th we were already texting each other basically every hour of the day ;). On the 6th, Aron made a comment about liking the musician, Ben Harper. I told him I loved Ben Harper as well. Aron made a joke about getting us tickets for August since Ben Harper was touring through MN. He asked, “Would I be crazy if I bought tickets, since we’ve only known each other for a day?” and I responded, “Um… yeah, probably!” (But I secretly loved it). Despite my thinking he might be crazy, he ordered the tickets anyway – After just 1 date, he was so sure we would still be together 6 months later. Well, he was right…we were inseparable for the next 6 months. On the evening of the concert, we decided to go out to dinner. We got to the restaurant; he had already made a reservation. We sat down, ordered drinks, everything was dining out as usual… As we were chatting, the Chef came to the table and apologized for interrupting.. I assumed they were out of something we ordered. The Chef was holding a small plate with a little domed lid. He said he made a special appetizer for us, and proceeded to tell us the inspiration behind the dish was a blend of South Carolina and Minnesota flavors. (This part is a blur!) He put the plate down on the table, opened the lid and a RING was there waiting for me! Aron got up from the other side of the booth, got down on one knee and said, “On February 5th, I hoped you would be my girlfriend at the Ben Harper concert. Today, I hope you will be my fiancé. Will you give me your forever?” (A lyric from “Forever” by Ben Harper). I cried and cried and covered my face until finally someone in the restaurant yelled, “SAY YES!!” which broke me from my emotional trance … I uncovered my face and said, “Of course!!!”. We had an amazing time at the concert and on our walk home we told every stranger that we passed by that we were engaged! So, in other words... We are crazy, but at least we're crazy together!
