It all started in about the most romantic place imaginable - windowless Cohen Hall at Xavier University, where we met in our Masters of Nursing program. A few weeks later, we started hanging out after we were both 3rd and 5th wheeling with other friends on the same night and ran into each other at a brewery. We immediately hit it off and realized how much we had in common! Shortly thereafter, we started dating all through nursing school. We both started working at Cincinnati Children's Hospital after graduation. Over the last four years, we have experienced so much in our time together. Through the highest highs and lowest lows, starting new jobs, working opposite shifts, adopting the sweetest old lab, a once in a lifetime pandemic, and buying a house - we couldn't have done it without each other by our sides!

On May 4th, 2021... we got engaged! In a day that had to be rescheduled 3 separate times, due to the surprise having to be moved due to picking up too much overtime - to the point Tyler had to block off a day in Shannon's Google Calendar. The stage was set, the surprise was planned - it was going to be a perfect walk through Hyde Park Square with a photo taken by close friends - the only thing not in place was Mother Nature. In the middle of a picture perfect spring day, it started torrentially down pouring 15 minutes before the surprise. So we adapted! Tyler asked the question on our front porch to a - slightly expecting Shannon, and she said yes! The night continued with engagement day pictures while soaking wet and celebration at one of our favorite restaurants!

What a year, 2021 has been one for the record books! In the last year we: bought a house, got engaged, memorized the exact layout of our local Lowes, celebrated our dog's 10th (maybe 7, or 9, who knows!) birthday, and worked countless amount of overtime during these crazy times!
