Question

How should I get to the reception?

Answer

Due to the location and logistics of our venue, it is very important that you utilize the transportation we have arranged. To ensure smooth access to the reception, we will have three shuttles running: two shuttles will travel between the hotel block and the venue, and one shuttle will run from the main venue parking lot up to the venue itself. Please note: The road leading to the venue is steep, and the parking lot at the top at the venue has limited capacity. Guests are not permitted to park at the venue directly. You have two options: • Use the shuttle service from the hotel block to the venue. Even if you are not staying at the hotel you can wait out front to utilize the shuttle. • Drive or Uber to the venue main parking lot and take the shuttle from there up to the venue. Main parking lot address for guests: 219 Holcombe Branch Rd, Weaverville, NC 28787 Shuttle schedules with specific time windows will be shared closer to the wedding, so please check back for updates! If you have any concerns about the travel accommodations not being easily accessible for you- please reach out!!

How will I leave the reception?

Answer

As mentioned, we will have three shuttles, so your transportation leaving the venue will be very similar to how you arrived. Shuttles will bring guests back down from the venue to either the main parking lot (for those retrieving their cars or meeting an Uber) or back to the hotel block. Specific shuttle times and windows will be shared closer to the wedding, so please check back for updates! If you have concerns about the shuttle transportation or feel it may not be easily accessible for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re happy to assist!

What should I wear?

Answer

We can’t wait to celebrate with you in style! We kindly ask that everyone join us in dressing up for the occasion in cocktail attire. For men, this could be dress slacks paired with a button-down shirt, while ladies might consider a cocktail dress, skirt, or a jumpsuit. As the autumn weather may be cooler, consider layering with a shawl or jacket. And a friendly reminder—please reserve white and off-white shades for the bride!

You said private ceremony?!

Answer

Yep! If you know us, you know we’re not exactly “center stage” people. We want to soak in every second without all eyes on us—so it’ll be just us and our immediate family. But don’t worry, our amazing vendors will capture it all so we can share plenty of photos and video afterward. Thanks for understanding and supporting our vision!

Can I bring a gift?

Answer

We kindly ask that you don’t bring gifts to the wedding, but there will be a card box if you’d like to leave one. Since we’ve been living together for a while, we don’t need more things at this moment, but if you’d like to contribute, we’ve set up a variety of cash gift options on the registry tab. Gifts are truly optional—your presence and traveling to be with us for the weekend is the best gift!

Will the event be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Our venue is primarily outdoors, but we have a retractable tent on hand to quickly cover the area in case of inclement weather. We recommend checking the forecast beforehand and bringing any extra layers you might need. To ensure everyone’s comfort, we’ll also have fans and portable heaters available, depending on the weather.

Will it be an open bar or cash bar?

Answer

We will be having an open bar. Please bring a form of ID in case it is requested by the staff. Also if drinking please plan accordingly and utilize our prearranged transportation or make your own arrangements, so everyone has a fun and safe evening!
