It was 2008 when Arnela and Vincent’s love story first began, just 2 kids who happen to go to the same High School (Dacula High). After discovering a mutual love of music, movies, and everything pop culture, it wasn’t long before Arnela and Vincent starting AIM messaging (what we used to communicate before text messaging for all of you kids that don’t know) and calling one another on a landline every day after school. One thing led to another and they were considered to be dating, at least on social terms. They both come from two different worlds, beliefs and languages. Yet, both have accepted and fell in love with one another despite their clear differences. Now, after nearly 11 1/2 years together, we can’t wait to tie the knot and start our happily ever after!

“My life hasn’t always been perfect in terms of family. My parents split when I was only 7 and for better or worse it was the hand I was dealt with in life. I never blamed neither of them for it. They didn’t work out and even from a young age I was aware that things were better off this way. It was with that mindset that when I knew who I would want to spend the rest of my life with, I would be more than prepared. After meeting Arnela and a couple of years of dating, I knew she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my days with. I knew I wanted to propose to her but couldn’t figure out how I wanted it to be. Then it happened. The seed was planted, and the idea came to fruition. It started after we returned from our first trip to Walt Disney World. We had just celebrated our 10-year anniversary. I remember the joy in her eyes as we walked down Main Street USA and seeing her face light with excitement seeing Cinderella’s Castle. I knew it had to be there. We planned for another trip just about a year after that one and everything began to set into motion. I got the ring a month before the intended date and stared at it every night thinking about the moment and just hoping everything goes right. On a clear and perfect sky Saturday, I got down on one knee at the most magical place on earth and asked her if she would accept me to be her next adventure in life.” -Vincent Vang
