How We Met

2012

Completely unlike her, Arnasha skipped class for the "first" time during her high school career. She was hanging out with some friends at the concession stand, selling ramen during lunch. I was waiting in line for my ramen and decided it was taking too long. In a hasty decision, I jumped over and started to help rip open ramen boxes because I thought Arnasha was moving a little slowly. Reflecting back she probably was very confused as to why this stranger had just rushed over for no reason. We started chatting and I got into bragging about how I was the king of making ramen. This led into a competitive conversation who was a better cook. ( I know I lost that title in the long run.) However, what started out as a friendly competition helped pave the way to the start of an amazing journey. From friend, to best friend, to my girlfriend, to my fiancé... and in a short few weeks my wife. Looking forward to celebrating our next step in October.

Proposal

2020

Aakash once mentioned in passing that he would propose to me through a scavenger hunt because he is the prize in the end, and that was the first mention he ever made to me about us being together forever. Much to my surprise, a few years later, I found the first of many clues as I checked the mail on a random Saturday morning. He first led me to where it all started PRHS (iykyk) where his parents waited for me to start this journey and then the next clue. Throughout the day his clues led me to places where we fell in love, and at each place as I looked for him, I found myself surrounded by my closest friends. A few of these places were the Five Guys we would get burgers at, the parks we went for walks at, the movie theater we had countless dates at (and still do), and so many more. Eventually, I found him in the most random of places, where he poured his heart out to me and told me why he wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. He ended up asking me the question, not the one I was waiting for. "Do you really think this is it?" I said, "I guess not?" He then gave me the second to last clue. This clue led me to the most valued people in my life, my mom, dad, and brother, where I got to spend a few moments with those who have loved me my whole life. They then gave me my last clue, where I would find the person who changed my life, who played a part in making me the best version of myself, the person who I wished nothing more to share the rest of my life with. I met him at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, where he asked me if I would marry him. That brings us to today, where you are gearing up to celebrate the next chapter in our lives where Aakash and I, Arnasha, tie the knot for eternity.... We can not wait to celebrate with you this October.. see you very soon.
