Lenny and I met the first couple weeks of our freshman year of college. My roommate was super into him and forced me to tag along during hang outs he was at including an afternoon of frisbee tossing. I advised her to pretend to not know how to toss the frisbee so he could teach her - turns out I didn’t know how to toss a frisbee and he was happy to show me how to. After 8 years, countless concerts, 2 apartments, 8 months in his parents’ basement, 2 cats, 3 godchildren together, he proposed to me during a walk at Rocky Neck State Park after we purchased our first home in August of 2021. 8 years ago I found two notes on my college dorm door from Ari and her roommate to hang. I left a note back on their door, subtly, right on Ari’s name. Ari faked not knowing how to throw a frisbee, we talked about Eric Clapton, sang Sweet Caroline, and here we are. We’ll be married almost 10 years after we met and started dating. We have traveled, hiked, and camped, discovered our favorite bands, made the most delicious grilled veggies, moved states, bought a house, survived a pandemic, and spent every possible chance together at the beach. We got engaged near our home by the ocean and are so excited for our next chapter.
