Flight
Southern California has tons of airports, but John Wayne Aiport is definitely the easiest. Book with Icelandair from Keflavik to Santa Ana. The travel takes you to Seattle and then from there to Santa Ana. John Wayne Airport (SNA) – Recommended! Only about 30–40 minutes from San Clemente. Smaller, easy to navigate, and closest to the venue. Long Beach Airport (LGB) – About 1 hour away. A small, stress-free airport with limited flights. San Diego International Airport (SAN) – Roughly 1 hour south of San Clemente. A good option if you plan to explore San Diego before or after the wedding. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) – Around 1.5 hours away (can vary with traffic).
House Or Rental
If you're traveling with family or a group, we recommend booking an Airbnb! It’s a great way to have more space, share time together, and enjoy the area at your own pace. To stay conveniently located for the wedding, we suggest looking for a place between Irvine and San Clemente. Ideal areas include: Irvine – Central location with great access to shopping, dining, and the airport Aliso Viejo, Mission Viejo & Rancho Santa Margarita – Quiet, family-friendly communities about 20–35 minutes from the venue Laguna Beach / Laguna Niguel – Beautiful coastal towns with beachy charm Dana Point – A laid-back harbor town just 15 minutes from the venue San Clemente – Closest to the venue and full of coastal charm Staying in one of these areas will keep you close to the wedding festivities without long drives. Rental Car
While Southern California is beautiful, it's also pretty spread out—so we highly recommend renting a car. It’ll make it much easier to get to the venue, explore the area, and travel between your accommodations and any wedding events. Rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft are available, but wait times can vary depending on the area—especially in the more residential towns. If you’re flying in, rental cars are available at all major airports, including John Wayne (SNA), San Diego (SAN), and LAX.
